About the Item

This elegant set of six French oyster plates was produced by St Clément in France and dates from the mid-20th century. Each plate is richly glazed in nuanced green tones and features six sculptural oyster wells arranged around a central lemon motif, creating a striking and highly decorative composition. The plates are executed in glazed ceramic with a beautifully textured surface and subtle tonal variations, characteristic of high-quality French tableware from this period. Both functional and decorative, they are ideal for serving oysters or seafood, and also make a sophisticated display when hung or arranged on a table. The underside of each plate bears the St Clément mark, confirming its French origin and authenticity. The set is in good vintage condition, with no cracks or restorations and only minor signs of age consistent with careful use. Set of six plates. Free worldwide shipping.
