A rare and large Art-Deco, Art Nouveau, Modernist, vase, in beige stoneware with superb black, red, pink and dark green floral decoration, signed by stamp on the bottom, Betzy Augeron, France 1930.
Painter and ceramist from La Rochelle, Betzy Augeron (1882-1976) became known during the first half of the 20th century.
Perfectly inscribed in the Art Deco period, her works testify to a mastered know-how and a very good quality of execution. There are recurring stylized floral motifs and bright colors specific to its cheerful and refined aesthetic.
