About the Item
A delightful, licensed Pink Panther Collection handled pottery beaker shaped mug distributed by Royal Orleans and dated 1981. The ceramic mug is of cylindrical form with a pinched centre and is decorated in tones of pink over white. The handle is formed as a Pink Panther figure leaning on the rim and holding a mug in his other hand with his foot leaning on the lower edge of the mug. The mug is finely made, and the figural handle is hand painted in traditional pink with colored highlights, and the mug has a printed The Pink Panther Collection mark to the base along with United Artists copyright.
Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use and a few minor glaze rubs to the top rim.
