About Pol Chambost:
Pol Chambost (1906–1983) was one of the most influential French ceramicists of the mid-20th century. Trained as a sculptor, he founded Poterie Pol Chambost in Paris in the late 1930s and became a central figure in the postwar revival of French ceramics. Chambost is celebrated for his innovative forms inspired by nature—shells, plants, and biomorphic shapes—combined with clean modernist lines. His work was widely exhibited and collected, and today his ceramics are recognized as iconic examples of French mid-century modern design, highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
