Blue Overlay Cut Crystal Lidded Sweet Dish
A blue overlay cut crystal lidded sweet dish of goblet form, dating to the late 20th century. The deep cobalt-blue overlay is cut back to clear, decorated with repeating lozenge panels enclosing starburst motifs, interspersed with oval lens cuts and cross-hatched bands. The domed cover is surmounted by a faceted ball finial, and the bowl is raised on a knopped stem and circular foot.
A decorative and well-balanced piece of later Bohemian-type crystal, combining strong colour with crisp, geometric cutting.
