Large Dutch Delft cabinet plate - Delftware plate Material: Delft, earthenware , pottery, tin glaze Design: De Lampetkan Producer: De Lampetkan also known as De Porceleyne Lampetkan Manufactory Delft ( 1609 - 1811 ) Decor: Stylized tulips Origin Netherlands 18th century 1760 - 1780 Style period Georgian - Louis XVI Material Tinglazed earthenware Signed on the back LPK - De Lampetkan Condition good Delftware or Delft pottery is also known as Delft tinglazed earthenware. Delftware includes pottery objects of all descriptions such figurines, plates, vases and other ornamental forms and tiles. The start of the Delft style was around 1600. the most highly regarded period of production is about 1640–1740. Delftware continues to be produced. Arround 1640 Delft potters began using personal monograms and distinctive factory marks. Throughout the 17th and 18th centuries Delftware was a major industry, exporting all over Europe.
