A 19th century French Rouen faience pitcher with hinged lid. Intricate hand-painted design featuring floral, foliate and geometric motifs in blue, orange, green and yellow. Influenced by East Asian porcelain, this distinctive decoration is typical of tin-glazed earthenware pottery produced in Rouen, France. Minor glaze losses.
