About the Item

Circa 1870s French faience scalloped edge plate. Charmingly decorated with a bird on a branch watching a butterfly, in a diapered 18th century style form border. Classic French faience blue yellow colors with rust, green purple accents. Back rim with hanging wire holes. Blue P 1707 on back. Minor edge rubbing a few typical glaze misses on the back. 9.5" dia., 7/8" h. We are a family business that has been a major source for the selective buyer for over 90 years.
