About the Item

Set of 3 Dutch Delft blue and white 'Peacock' plate, 18th century, with ochre rim, the centre decorated in cobalt with an vase containing an arrangement of peacock feathers and flowers. The rim decorated with stylised flower heads against a scrolling ground. Marked 'B:P 3' for pottery 'De Vergulde Blompot' (1616-1841) Pieter Verburg registered 'De Blompot' factory mark in the (Delft) register from 1764. Verburg is the owner from 1756-1789. Very good condition; light chipping and usual wear to the rim. Some irregularities to the glaze. It is very nice that these three are born together as a set. They have exactly the same coloring and marks.
