About the Item
I offer for sale an extremely decorative and fun element to set your table.
Made in Italy between the 70s and 80s, this jar with lid is part of a successful series that included many tableware items in the shape of fruit and vegetables.
This series, which recalls the Portuguese production of Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics, was produced by the "Italica ARS", a company founded in the 1920s in the province of Florence and no longer active today.
This jar with lid equipped with a teaspoon and saucer is all made of handcrafted majolica and can be used as a sugar bowl, as a gravy boat or as a jam holder.
The bright yellow and green glazes and its pepper shape make it irresistible.
The container measures 8.5cm in height by 10cm in depth.
The total measurements of the item including cap and saucer are:
Height 14cm
Diameter 19cm
The item is in good vintage condition, with no breaks or scratches.
All other items visible in the photos are available for sale on our page.

Italian Handcrafted Mid Century Modern Decorative Dish in Raku Style Ceramic
Located in Roma, IT
Large handcrafted ceramic centerpiece dating back to the 1970s.
Of certain Italian production but of unknown manufacture, this large plate shows a signature engraved on the base consisting of two intertwined letters "FS" that we have not been able to attribute to a ceramist or a manufacturer. the design of this centerpiece is essential, with an almost primitive shape that appears as a large bowl with low edges.
The surface is rough and textured on the outside and very smooth with a crackle effect on the inside recalling Japanese Raku ceramics...
