This pair of Dutch Delft chargers was hand-painted at the renowned De Porceleyne Bijl (The Axe) factory in Delft, circa 1780. Each charger measures 12.25 inches in diameter and features a beautifully balanced composition at its center, showcasing a basket overflowing with flowers. The surrounding border alternates between scrolling floral sprays and diamond-patterned panels, all painted in rich cobalt blue on a white tin-glazed background.
