A charming pair of hand-painted faience wall platters from the famed Henriot Quimper pottery in Brittany, France. Each elongated scalloped-edge platter is richly decorated with a colorful pastoral scene featuring traditional Breton figures in regional costume, set against coastal and village backdrops. The compositions are framed by floral garlands and a crowned coat of arms, adding a heraldic flourish to the rustic subject matter.
Signed Henriot Quimper and dated on the reverse, these platters were handcrafted circa 1995 and remain faithful to the centuries-old tradition of Quimper tin-glazed earthenware, known for its whimsical folk art charm and enduring craftsmanship.
