Date: second half of the 18th century
A genuine set of three blue and white Dutch Delft plates. Hand-painted in cobalt blue on a white tin-glazed ground with the decoration of a Chinese river landscape with ducks, houses, rocks, and foliage. Inspired by the Chinese porcelain examples from the Qianlong period. The rim is decorated with flowers and a red rim to conseal chips.
The diameter of the plates is approximately 22,3cm - 9 inches.
The plates are in good condition, with the normal superficial wear and chips as can be expected for their age.
