About the Item

19th century Majolica plate from England. This plate is absolutely lovely! It has a hand painted brown rim, surrounding a gorgeous turquoise floral and fern border, surrounding a lilac floral section, surrounding the central lozenge which features a four leaf clover type fan design. The central lozenge is glazed in green with a tortoise shell finish as well. This plate has fathoms of depth with all of the layering of colors. Gorgeous pattern, and it even has the tortoise shell finish on the back rim.
