About the Item
A French earthenware, majolica glazed asparagus plate, molded by Longchamp in the Pompadour pattern, circa 1890-1910.
Seven raised asparagus glazed in turquoise and lavender lay across the centre of the plate forming a deeper sauce well on either side. Hand-painted floral bouquets dot the rims, each different, making each plate unique. Different examples are pictured.
