About the Item

Introduced into France for Queen Catherine de Medicis, who was fond of it, the artichoke acquired its letters of nobility by becoming one of the favorite dishes of Louis XIV. Like for asparagus, renowned manufacturers have dedicated part of their production to them. This artichoke plate is particularly rare, and will be a great find for a collector,. It can also be used as a sophisticated appetizer / tapas tray.
