About the Item

Set of Four Coalport “Countryware” Bone China Dinner Plates, England, Mid-20th Century A refined set of four Countryware dinner plates by Coalport, England, crafted in fine white bone china. Each plate measures 10.75 inches in diameter, designed with the iconic sculpted leaf-motif border that has made Countryware a timeless classic for elegant tablescapes. Introduced in the mid-20th century, Countryware quickly became a favorite for its versatility: its pure white porcelain relief design layers beautifully with patterned china yet is striking enough to stand on its own. Both delicate and durable, the set embodies Coalport’s long tradition of craftsmanship dating back to 1750. These are full-size dinner plates, not chargers, in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs noted. Dimensions: • Diameter: 10.75 in. • Height: 1 in. Marks: Backstamped “Bone China, Coalport, Made in England, Est. 1750, Countryware”.
