About the Item
"This pattern was originally produced as a private dinner service for the Duke of Gloucester, the brother of England’s King George III. It is notable for its effusion of fruits, leaves, flowers and butterflies and 22 carat gold feathering; one of the most popular dinner patterns in Mottahedeh’s assortment. From the museum collection of Colonial Williamsburg, it dates back to 1770 the end of the colonies and the beginning of the United States of America."
