About the Item

A pair very good hand blown wine drinking glasses, dating to the George II period of the mid-18th century, circa 1750. These wine glasses are hand blown from English lead glass. It is heavy and has a soft grey color. The glass has the usual striations, inclusions and tiny bubbles you would expect to see in 18th century glass, which gives these glasses their unique charm, with no two glasses being the same. Folded foot, gilded edge on the top Both glasses are in perfect condition Diameter foot 9.8 cm, top 8.4 cm
