Alfredo Barbini (Murano, 1912 – 2007) Large Vase, Murano, circa 1970s A striking Murano glass vase by Alfredo Barbini, crafted circa the 1970s. Made in colorless glass partially overlaid with opaque white and ochre, the vase is decorated with applied, melted-in murrine throughout, demonstrating Barbini’s mastery of vetro sommerso and murrine incalmo techniques, hallmark methods of his mid-century production.
