About the Item
Set of six hand-cut crystal wine glasses all in a different color and in perfect condition with the Lorraine crystal stamps under the foot.
although less known than baccarat or St Louis the glasses of the crystal of Lorraine are of the highest quality made by the best worker of France

The Lemberg Crystal Factory was founded in 1925 by Théodore Heitzman. The latter, a baker for the neighboring Saint Louis crystal factory, lost a large part of his turnover following the creation of a bakery specific to the factory. He then decided to create Cristallerie Lorraine (Cristallerie de Lemberg).
He hired twenty workers, most of them glassmakers from the Cristallerie de Saint Louis. Thanks to them, he succeeded in manufacturing “high-end crystal” (24 to 30% lead content), namely a crystal of excellent quality.
