German, Saxon Engraving: Dutch Mid 18th century A Saxon, Dutch engraved wine glass; the thistle bowl with a solid faceted base, decorated with a formal cartouche containing a three-masted sailing ship, flanked by scrollwork and floral sprays, on a wide faceted teared inverted baluster stem on a foor with folded foot rim. Inscribed: Het Lans Weelvarn: The Prosperity of the Country. In overall good condition with the normal wear underneath the foot rim. The glass curves a little to the left.
