About the Item

Rare and intricate René Lalique Liseron footed glass made c 1921 -signed to the base of the stem R Lalique France in a tiny circle. The trumpet shaped Liseron pattern is one of the rarest glasses made by Rene Lalique - in the Lalique bible by Felix Marcilhac it is listed as no 3758. Rene Lalique's earliest glasses - like this design - were amazingly complex and difficult to make - resulting in them being very expensive and few were made and sold. Later he simplified his designs and they then sold well. René Lalique was possibly the most famous of all glass makers -the most collectable pieces by him are those produced during his lifetime (ie pre 1945), these are signed, like this piece, R Lalique.

By René Lalique
Located in Worcester Park, GB
Rare Rene Lalique clear glass square Perles table panel 1934. As well as the usual Vases, Bowls, tableware, car mascots etc Rene Lalique made Architectural Installations -some of the more famous of these went into Churches, but he designed a wide range of glass panels for rooms, walls, tables etc. These were not for sale as individual items and could only be acquired as part of an installation. A larger version is documented as a Carre Perle pattern . The fact that it is an unused single panel and signed (they were usually not signed) suggests this was a salesman's sample. The larger version is Documented in the Lalique book...
