About the Item
Fantastic vintage lidded modernist glass container acquired from a famous architects home in Carmel, CA. Most of the items in this home were Scandinavian and were from the 1950/60s. He had much correspondence with Alvar Aalto and various other big names in the design world. This gorgeous piece, while the maker is unknown, it was one of the pieces that really stood out from a design perspective. It was made in the old-style of glass mold making, done in a wood mold. it has an incredible presence and by being practical, that helps make it even more special.
