Exceptional hand-blown glass vase with silver foil inclusions and large murrines, by Anzolo Fuga for A.Ve.M. (Arte Vetraria Muranese), Italy, 1950s. These Murrine Incatanate pieces are bold and graphic and unique works of art by one of the most important Murano glass designers. Literature: Anzolo Fuga, Murano Glass Artist, Designs for A.V.E.M. by Rosa Barovier Mentasti, Acanthus Press, 2005, section titled "MURRINE INCATENATE 1959-60". Anzolo Fuga (1914–1998) was an Italian artisan and master glassblower renowned for his exceptional contributions to Murano glass artistry. Born in Venice, Fuga's career unfolded during the mid-20th century, a period of glass renaissance. His innovative techniques elevated Murano glass to new heights, fusing traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Fuga's creations often featured bold colors, intricate patterns, and avant-garde designs, reflecting his artistic ingenuity. His work is celebrated globally, displayed in prestigious exhibitions and museums.
