About the Item

Rare, early 19th century pair of Venetian glass scallop form caviar dishes. Each hand made, decorated with curved sections forming the scallop shape with a bullseye circle at the rounded edge, gilded borders and a heart motif near the handle. The handles individually blown and gilded. Elegant Neoclassical form and color scheme. Wonderful condition, age appropriate wear, beautiful patina to the gilding.
