About the Item
The Potocka vase is a striking new addition to Giberto Venezia's 2025 collection.
Hand-blown in Murano, it is enriched with hot-burnished silver leaf, a delicate process that creates an extraordinary mirrored
effect. Each vase is unique, its irreqular shape and subtle variations a direct result of the artisanal hand-blowing technique. The mirrored surface reflects light in ever-changing ways, making Potocka a true statement piece of contemporary Venetian glassmaking. The inspiration came during a visit to Paris, where Giberto was captivated by a mirrored vase in a friend's collection. From that moment, he began exploring the technique, ultimately creating his own interpretation and naming the vase Potocka in honor of his friend's mother. A refined and original object, it embodies both memory and innovation.

Giberto
Founded in 2005 by Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga, Giberto Venezia embodies the spirit of Venice and its centuries-old tradition of decorative arts. Raised in Palazzo Papadopoli, surrounded by Tiepolo frescoes and the grandeur of the Grand Canal, Giberto transformed his cultural heritage into a creative language made of Murano-blown glass, sculptures, frames, and distinctive objets d’art. His collections, from signature glasses with colorful rims to mirrored vases, from glass sculptures to homages to artists such as Rothko, emerge from the dialogue between Venetian memory and contemporary vision. Over the years, Giberto has presented his works at several editions of the Venice Glass Week, reflecting his constant pursuit of new techniques and interpretations. With the opening of his boutique on the Rialto Bridge in 2024, Giberto has created an intimate and poetic space where the slow rhythm of Venetian craftsmanship meets the cosmopolitan energy of the city. Each creation is not just an object, but a fragment of history and beauty, capturing both the light and the soul of the lagoon.
