Elegant set of two antique cranberry glass goblets made in the United Kingdom around 1890.
Each goblet features a beautifully hand-blown bowl in a deep cranberry hue, set upon a clear, turned stem with a subtle knop detail above a wide circular foot.
The seamless transition between the colored bowl and the clear base highlights the artistry and technical skill of late Victorian glassmakers.
Cranberry glass, also known as ruby glass, was prized in the 19th century for its rich color and luxurious appearance. The distinctive hue was achieved by adding gold chloride to molten glass — a costly and delicate process mastered by only the finest glassmakers of the Victorian era.
A superb example of late 19th-century British craftsmanship — combining rich color, elegant form, and timeless appeal.
