About the Item

VeArt Large Glass Charger, Probably by Bruno Gambone Vietri sul Mare (Salerno) 1936 – Venice, circa 1988 A large VeArt glass charger, likely by the celebrated Italian ceramist and designer Bruno Gambone. Crafted in white milky glass, the surface features an abstract design with powder color infusion, exemplifying the vibrant experimentation of late 20th-century Venetian glass. The charger is inset into a metal support, with inscriptions on the back reading “VeArt Venezia” and on the base “VeArt Venice”, confirming its provenance from the Venetian studio. The piece is unsigned, as is typical for some VeArt production of the period. Dimensions: Charger diameter only: 15.25 in (38.75 cm) Total including metal support: 20.5 x 15.5 in (52 x 39.5 cm) This work represents the fusion of traditional Venetian glassmaking with modernist design sensibilities, a hallmark of Gambone’s work and VeArt’s production in the 1980s.
