About the Item

A Georgian yew wood cutlery tray, rectangular with three divisions for cutlery and with a central brass carrying handle. The tray with fine dovetails. These trays were designed for carrying cutlery to the dining room, but can now have many other uses for jars, bottles and glasses, this example is unusual being all in yew wood, they are usually mahogany. English circa 1800
