An elegant early 20th-century English antler-handled cutlery set by J. Sanderson
Son, Sheffield, England, renowned for their fine handcrafted tableware. This beautifully presented set comprises twelve pieces—six knives and six forks—housed in the original fitted case lined with red velvet and cream satin.
Each piece is marked “J. Sanderson
Son, Sheffield England” and fitted with naturally curved antler handles accented by nickel collars. The blades are stainless steel, while the forks bear English hallmarks including “Argyle Works” and “HK England.” The natural horn handles display rich color variation and organic form, emblematic of early 20th-century British country craftsmanship.
The set is complete aside from a missing large serving fork, though the fitted case retains its original compartment for one. The black leather-grain exterior case features brass clasps and gold detailing along the edge, with interior silk stamped “Made in Sheffield, England.”
