About the Item
A beautiful, one-of-a-kind, 19th century French bakers cast iron and wood industrial bread slicer / cutter, with the blade removed, and fashioned into a countertop wine bottle rack / display with a capacity to hold up to seven bottles!
The patinated cast iron is decorated in period, Art Nouveau taste, retaining the original teal paint that's now faded and distressed, accented by later added complimentary gilding/gold paint. The carved pine wood is in great shape, and presents wonderfully with a warm, nicely aged patina over the whole. This unique antique piece is sure to be a conversation starter, while bringing a touch of rustic sophistication to any room.
