About the Item

A rare Teaservice consisting of a teapot, creamer and sugar bowl, 2 cake serving dishes and 4 cups. The shape of the teapot, creamer and cups starts of as a square at the bottom and transform fluently into a circle at the top. All pieces features monochrome glazes in burnt/caramel orange, cream pastel and dark brown/almost black. This set was designed by one of the most prolific female midcentury designers Nanna Ditzel during the late 1960s. It was only manufactured for a couple of years by Søholm in Denmark. Most of the pieces are stamped: Design: Nanna Ditzel and most of them feature the design number in overglaze as well. Measurements: Cups/creamer: H: 8 cm, D: 8 cm, Sugar bowl: W/D: 14 cm, H: 4.5 cm, cake dishes: 31/23.5 cm. The teapot has a capacity of 0.7 liter and the measurements are provided below.
