19th Century porcelain ice bucket. Made in the Maastricht factories.  

An interesting and very well made Art Deco period spice rack. This was made in the Netherlands in the 1930’s. It is a beautiful and very practical item, perfect for use in the kitchen. It has a solid birch frame, shaped in the typical Art Deco style. There are six large ceramic drawers and seven smaller ceramic drawers along the lower edge. The clock face and door front are also ceramic, all have gorgeous green touches and are labelled in Dutch for various herbs, spices and condiments. This exceptional antique Dutch silver sugar box has been realistically modelled in the form of a lapwing. This impressive sugar box is embellished with embossed details reproducing the fine definition of the bird's plumage and anatomical features. This impressive antique silver box retains the original push fit cover/head, ornamented with the original bead eyes. This primary cover allows access to the sleeve and secondary shaker cover, accented with pierced holes and a central knopped finial/fingerpiece. The hallmark struck to the sleeve of the body includes: Date mark: N (1920) The bird has been determined as a member of the lapwing family due to the characteristics of the body and distinguishable crest features.
