This is a matched pair of vintage coffee pots. An English, silver plated chocolate heating jug by Mappin Webb, circa 1940. Superb 2 pint specimens, as good to use today as 80 years ago Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order 'Prince's Plate, with triple deposit of silver presents a quality sheen Hexagonal shaped ebony handles keep ones hands from the heat Flip top lid with small finial - diamond shaped steam holes to one lid Tall, steeply raked spout aids pouring of hot drinks Maker's mark to base for Mappin Webb, London Sheffield Further marked with serial number W10162 This is a fascinating pair of vintage coffee pots, with wonderful winter time appeal. Ideal for heating up a hot chocolate or coffee and milk around an open fire. Delivered polished and ready to enjoy.
