About the Item

The mugs are modelled in the Georgian style and have tapering sides and a beaded rim and base. The sides are also decorated with reeding and each has a plain harp shaped handle. The interior displays original gilding and each has a crisp set of hallmarks on the side. The base is engraved with the Crown of the Monarch and the Crest of the Prince of Wales above James, 153 New Bond Street, who held the Royal appointments. Sets of dram mugs are particularly rare and the quality of these pieces is exceptional, as would be expected coming from these Royal retailers. Measures: Height 1.45 inches, 3.63cm. Base diameter 1.6 inches, 4cm. Weight: 8oz.
