An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver and mother of pearl handled fruit/dessert service for six persons - boxed; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver and mother of pearl fruit/dessert service for six persons consists of six fruit knives and six fruit forks. The impressive sabre style knife blades have a broad incurved shaped form, and the forks have three tines with a rounded, baluster shaped shaft. The anterior surface of each knife blade is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved scrolling leaf and foliate decoration, accented with a plain paralleling border to one side; the posterior surface is plain and unembellished. Each piece of this fruit cutlery set is fitted with the original and impressive pistol grip mother of pearl handles. The handles are each ornamented with paralleling borders to the shaped rims.
