This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has an oval shaped form on to a circular spreading foot, modelled in the form of a period coal scuttle or flower basket. The lower portion of the body is embellished with undulating fluted ornamentation. The upper portion of the body is embellished with a wide incurved band of scrolling leaf decoration accented with a floral motif to each spiralling terminal, all on a matte background. This sterling silver mustard pot is fitted with impressive two hallmarked hinged covers embellished with scrolling leaf and floral motifs on a matte background. This exceptional example of antique silverware has a central ribbed handle. The stepped circular spreading foot is encircled with a band of leaf and circular motif decoration. An execptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English straight sterling silver King's pattern flatware service for ten persons; an addition to our canteen of cutlery collection The pieces of this fine, antique Victorian straight* sterling silver cutlery service for ten persons have been crafted in King's pattern. The anterior surface of each piece incorporates the engraved initials 'HCD'. The reverse of each spoon and fork features a union shell and diamond heel in addition to convex shell ornamentation to the terminal. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English Britannia standard silver mustard pot; part of our Britannia silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V Britannia standard* silver mustard pot has a rounded octagonal panelled form to a pedestal spreading foot. The incurved panelled surface of this silver mustard pot is plain and unembellished, with an applied border to the upper rim. This fine Britannia silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with a tiered circular urn style thumbpiece. The pedestal foot of the mustard pot has a plain stepped form to a collet style rim. This impressive example of antique silverware is supplied with an associated hallmarked sterling silver spoon crafted by William Eley I & William Fearn in 1816. This exceptional mustard pot is the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire. * Britannia Silver - The Britannia silver standard of 958 (95.84% of fine silver), denoted by the icon of the seated Britannia holding an oval shield, was introduced by William III in 1697. This was to indicate the slightly higher standard of silver from sterling silver standard of 925 (92.5% of fine silver). Condition This antique silver mustard pot is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the surface of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian sterling silver water pitcher/jug; part of our antique dining silverware collection. This exceptional sterling silver water jug has a baluster shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The waisted cylindrical neck of this silver jug is embellished with impressive stylised leaf motifs, segmented with opposing scroll designs. The lower swept portion of the neck is encompassed with the contemporary engraved inscription 'To Charles Edward Rawlins, junior honorary secretary to the Liverpool Anti Monopoly Association anno domini MDCCCXLII to MDCCCXLVII'; these Roman numerals convert to the Latin dates 1842 and 1847. The bulbous portion of the body is embellished with exceptional engraved scene depicting a female figure draped in flowing fabric being carried by a male character; this male could be associated to Hermes, the Greek Olympian deity and the herald of the gods. The other side of this exceptional jug is further embellished with a main, central female being adorned and clothed by three semiclad figures. The body of this exceptional example of antique silverware is further ornamented with two large scrolling palmette style designs, all on a matte background. The lower portion of the jug is encompassed with an interlacing scalloped style pendant bud design. The neck is embellished to the upper portion with impressive gadroon decoration to the shaped rim. The jug is fitted with an exceptional hinged hallmarked cover, surmounted with an impressive cast leaf decorated thumbpiece, accented with further scrolling decoration to the domed portion. This antique silver jug is fitted with an impressive elevated loop style handle ornamented with an exceptional cast and applied figural mark design to the lower terminal. This exceptional jug was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Edward, John & William Barnard. Condition This antique English silver water jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The cast and applied decoration is very sharp and the engraved decoration is very crisp. Full English hallmarks struck to the neck of the jug are all very clear.
