An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a cylindrical-shaped form with a plain circular spreading foot. The body of the mustard pot is encircled with impressive chased shaped-bead designs, each accented with opposing scrolling borders and matte backgrounds; this is a highly desirable design. The decoration to the body includes impressive bands of bead decoration to the upper and lower portions, in addition to applied, moulded borders. This fine Victorian silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver pierced decorated lobed thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is encircled with further chased bead design, composing a central vacant shaped cartouche to the upper plateau. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast opposing scrolling handle accented with a leaf design to the handpiece. The mustard pot is fitted with the original removable clear glass liner. The cover retains the original gilding to the interior; this is a fine feature and indicates the high quality of the piece. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique William IV English sterling silver cream jug; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique sterling silver cream jug has an baluster shaped form onto a domed pedestal and an octagonal shaped spreading foot. The body of this silver cream jug is embellished with embossed floral ornamentation accented with scrolling leaf designs and panels of scale textures. The decoration to the body incorporates a scroll bordered and features a vacant cartouche to one side. The lower portion of the body encompassed with the contemporary engraved inscription 'Presented by the South Devon Agricultural Society to Richard Anthony for the best managed Farm under 150 acres'. The rim of this 1830s cream jug is embellished with an applied alternating shell decorated border. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast antique mystical fish decorated handle ornamented with scale decoration. The domed circular portion of the foot is encircled with a band of floral and scrolling leaf decoration. The interior of this antique silver cream jug retains the original gilding. Condition This antique 1830s cream jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The applied and chased decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the spout have wear in keeping with age and location; the maker’s mark has wear but remains legible. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware. This exceptional antique Victorian silver goblet, in sterling standard, has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate and floral festoons suspended from ribbon bow motifs. The upper portion of this sterling silver goblet is encompassed with bright cut engraved layered leaf decorated border. The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved simplified leaf decorated border, reflecting the design to the rim. Condition This antique Victorian silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The goblet has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Robert and William Wilson, silver platter or tray, from the mid-19th century, with a gadrooned rim and exquisitely engraved foliate motifs. It measures 17 1/2'' in length by 13 1/4'' in width by 7/8'' in height, weighs 49.8 troy ounces and bears hallmarks as shown. The dedication to Hon. N.B. Browne at the center can be related to Nathaniel Borradaile Browne, (1819-1875), a Philadelphia lawyer, businessman, and public servant. He served in both the federal and the Pennsylvania state governments, worked on the Philadelphia Centennial in Fairmount Park, and became the first president of Fidelity Trust Company. He was an Ivy League alum of the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Robert William Wilson were American silversmiths in Philadelphia, active in partnership from roughly 1825–1846, then continuing as a mark until 1877. It was succeeded by William Wilson Son.
