About the Item
Elegant and rare Mexican Modernist three-piece cocktail set by Ana Nunez Brilanti for Victoria of Taxco, circa 1950s. The set includes a tall copper pitcher with silver-plated interior, a long silver-plated stirring spoon, and a matching shot glass—each featuring figural repoussé and etched designs inspired by Aztec and bullfighting imagery.
The sculptural cylindrical pitcher is adorned with an engraved Aztec warrior in full regalia, holding a spear while confronting a crouched jaguar—both etched with delicate detailing and silver-plated accents. The design reflects Brilanti's signature synthesis of modern form with traditional Mexican iconography.
The shot glass complements the set with a repoussé matador on one side and a pierced bull on the other, surrounded by geometric detailing. The elongated stirring spoon features a hand-wrought loop handle and a hammered silver-plated bowl.
Both the pitcher and the glass are stamped “Victoria Mexico Taxco”, with the glass also bearing the model number 267.
A standout example of Mexican Modernist design and craftsmanship from one of the few female silversmiths of the era. Ideal for collectors of Latin American design, 20th-century barware, or Taxco metalwork.
