About the Item
Description
A striking Art Deco earthenware pitcher produced by Koninklijke Mosa in Maastricht, the Netherlands, circa 1930 - 1939. The pitcher features a beautifully balanced spherical body with a flowing, sculptural handle and an integrated pouring spout, reflecting the clean modernist design language of the interwar period.
The piece is finished in turquoise (cadet blue) glaze, characterized by its soft, milky translucence and subtle tonal depth. The elegant simplicity of the form allows the glaze to take visual prominence, making it both sculptural and functional.
The base is stamped with the model number "382", corresponding to a documented Mosa shape from their modernist earthenware production.
