About the Item

Original faience pitcher dating from the early 20th century, made by the Sarreguemines factory, depicting a man’s head with expressive and caricatured features. This type of humorous piece, very fashionable at the time, combines artisanal craftsmanship with a playful, whimsical spirit. The modelling of the face is particularly well executed: rosy cheeks, prominent nose, squinting eyes and a mischievous smile, all enhanced by a glossy polychrome finish typical of the faience of this period. The handle is discreetly integrated at the back of the head, emphasizing the rounded silhouette of the pitcher. A charming and collectible object, both decorative and full of personality, perfect for a shelf, a vintage-style kitchen, an eclectic interior, or for enthusiasts of unusual early 20th-century pieces.
