A charming and highly collectible silver-plated creamer pitcher designed and handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico by renowned artist and silversmith Emilia Castillo. Celebrated for her imaginative sculptural designs and exquisite material combinations, Castillo continues the legacy of one of Taxco’s most important creative dynasties—daughter of the legendary Metales Casados / Los Castillo silversmithing family that helped define 20th-century Mexican decorative arts.
This whimsical small pitcher features a beautifully formed toucan handle, expertly inlaid with natural black onyx and jasper stones. The bird’s stylized beak and body create a lively, organic silhouette, perfectly balanced with the vessel’s hammered silver-plated brass body and twisted rim detail.
Castillo’s signature combination of hand-carved stone inlay, mixed metals, and sculptural design results in a piece that functions both as tableware and as a small work of art. The underside bears the full hallmark:
