About the Item

Antique 19th century German solid silver and cut glass extremely decorative wine claret jug, of massive size, cut-glass body mounted with a silver collar profusely chased in the Rococo style, with scrolling foliage and flowers, scroll handle, parcel gilt interior, the lid is applied with a decorative finial. Hallmarked German silver (800 standard), Heilbronn, year 1880s, Maker's mark for Bruckmann Sohne, important manufacturer founded in the 1806, also bearing Austrian import marks. Condition In excellent condition, no damage. Size Height 38cm Width 20 x 15cm Weight 1905g.
