Lovely glazed ceramic pitcher by Anne Dangar. Dangar is a celebrated Australian abstract expressionist painter, who began creating ceramics later in life. The series from which this pitcher came was created at an artist residency in Lyon, France.

BIOGRAPHY
Randy was born in 1913 and died in 1997. He obtained his MFA, Master's of Fine Art, at Alfred University in 1937 and was Instructor of Industrial Design 1949-1951, and Instructor in Pottery 1951-1956. Randy was nationally known for his paintings and ceramics, named the nation's CERAMIC ARTIST OF THE YEAR IN 1949 BY NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE. His career was dedicated to art and the creation of the Hartsville Museum.
