About the Item
A very stylish quality Danish mid-century electroplated nickel silver water jug designed by Hans Bunde for Carl M Cohr and dating from around 1950. The jug stands raised on a narrow round foot rim with recessed base and a wide round lower body narrowing to a large raised and shaped pouring spout. A pouring handle mounted with a black shaped ebony grip is applied to the side of the jug. Typical of the Danish style and superb quality for which they were renowned and a this is wonderful display piece or simply to grace any dining table. The jug has an impressed makers mark to the base.
Provenance: Acquired from the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light wear associated with age and use.
