A charming and collectible vintage silver-plated water pitcher designed and handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico by the highly regarded silversmithing workshop Los Fajardo. This sculptural piece showcases the whimsical artistry that made mid-century Taxco metalwork internationally admired.
The pitcher is crafted in solid brass with a silver-plated finish, featuring a beautifully hammered body that catches the light with subtle texture and movement. Perched gracefully on the rim is a stylized parrot, which also serves as the handle—an iconic motif in Mexican decorative arts. The parrot is meticulously inlaid with natural blue stone, with a contrasting silver beak that adds depth and character to the design.
The underside bears the maker’s hallmark:
