About the Item

This piece represents the era’s celebrated fusion of organic materials and modern design, echoing the influence of Taxco’s most innovative silversmiths—where artists and workshops such as Los Castillo, Emilia Castillo, and Tane elevated Mexican metalwork into the realm of collectible design. The meticulous craftsmanship, clean architectural lines, and luminous shell surface embody the sophistication of mid-century Mexican decorative arts. Marked Mexico Alpaca on the underside, this pitcher captures both function and sculpture, offering a striking accent for collectors of Latin American silver and design. Dimensions: Height: 8.25 in (21 cm) Width (including handle): 5.75 in (14.5 cm) Depth: 5 in (12.7 cm) We have 4 pieces available, these were handmade so they are not identical, differ slightly in size and colors due to the natural shell used as inlay. Condition: Good vintage condition with light surface wear, oxidation, and small natural shell irregularities consistent with age and handcraft.
