Mid-Century French Majolica Fish Service by Sarreguemines, Circa 1950s — 14 Pieces A striking Mid-Century French majolica (faïence) fish service, marked Sarreguemines France, dating to the 1950s. Each piece is heavily potted with deep yellow-ochre glazed earthenware bodies and contrasting dark brown rolled rims, the versos finished with a subtle iridescent luster glaze. Fine incised detailing highlights the naturalistic fish motifs characteristic of post-war French tableware. Comprising: 6 Fish Plates — 10 ⅞" L × 9 ¾" W × 1 ½" H 6 Bowls — 8 ½" diameter × 1 ¾" H 1 Covered Soup Tureen — 15" L × 7 ¾" W × 6 ¼" H 1 Sauce Boat — 9 ¾" L × 3 ¾" W × 4 ¾" H Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor glaze variations and light wear consistent with age and use.
