About the Item

This fine, classically shaped, stylised Minton cream tureen stands on a flared foot with a finely detailed stem. The main body is of a broad shallow design with a pair of interwoven handles to each side and a separate lid with a twisted foliate handle which has a cut out for a spoon to rest. This rare piece comes with its original stand. All three pieces are beautifully hand painted with rural landscapes, with country houses and castles on a royal blue and white ground with superb hand painted gilding with a foliate design.
